A research-grounded training for therapists who want to integrate whole-health work without fluff, trends, or ethical gray areas.

If you’ve been curious about whole-health work, but hesitant to invest in another vague or trend-driven training, you’re not alone.

Many therapists want to integrate lifestyle, nervous system, and mind-body approaches into their work.
What stops them is not interest. It’s discernment.

Questions like:

  • Will this stay within scope of practice?

  • Is this grounded in research or just theory?

  • Will this actually translate to real clinical work?

  • Is this worth my CE time and money?

The Whole Therapist® was created for clinicians who want clear answers, ethical guidance, and practical application.

This is not a trend-based training.

The Whole Therapist® is grounded in research, clinical experience, and ethical decision-making.

  • Led by a licensed psychologist with a PhD and two decades of clinical practice
  • Designed to support scope-appropriate integration
  • Built for therapists who value rigor, humility, and discernment
  • Focused on how to think clinically, not just what to do

4The Inner Work of Being a HealerThe Wounded Healer, Burnout, and Ethics

5Cultural Humility and Ethics in Whole-Health PracticeInclusive Care in Integrative Mental Health

Explore the critical distinction between cultural competence and cultural humility as they apply to whole-health interventions. This module addresses power dynamics, intersecting identities, minority stress, and ethical frameworks from NASW and APA, while examining appropriation, stereotyping, and how to co-create truly inclusive care.

GROUP COACHING

Put the techniques you learn into practice during group coaching sessions. This is a safe place where everyone is working on their own self-love journey.

Before each group session, you’ll get a journaling prompt. This will help your thoughts flow. Then when you come to class, you’ll be ready to share what came up for you. Most students find it powerful to learn that others are having similar struggles and hear the creative ways they are showing up for themselves amongst the chaos of their lives.

We can’t wait to connect and grow with you!

Hello, I’m Shanti.

Every therapist deserves to feel supported, grounded, and confident in the work they love.

I created The Whole Therapist™ because I saw clinicians who were deeply committed to their clients, yet unsure how to integrate whole-health practices without crossing ethical lines or feeling overwhelmed.

This training is an extension of my clinical work.
It was designed to be thoughtful, research-informed, and respectful of the complexity of real therapy.

You don’t need to become someone else as a clinician.
You just need the skills and clarity to match the heart you already bring to your work.

Voices from our learning community...

"Dr. Shanti brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience to the class and presents the material in a manner that is very down-to-earth. She leaves you wanting more!"

J. F., LCSW

"She's down to earth and realistic and I appreciate it. How incredibly useful and life-changing being able to utilize this with clients...I love re-orienting, the gentle reminders of why (all that beautiful research), and how to go about it. Languaging was really important, both hearing another's and finding my own. "

A.D., MSW

"She's absolutely amazing at breaking down information and providing non-textbook answers, and putting them into real life examples...This training was absolutely fabulous and I would recommend it to any and everyone. "

S.Y.

"It was helpful to have visuals, practicing of techniques, stories, and verbal education. The teaching approach was very helpful for me. "

Questions therapists ask

How is this different from other courses?

This course integrates holistic practices such as mindfulness, breathwork, and movement into clinical work, giving therapists tools grounded in science and trauma-informed care. It teaches more than what to offer clients. It teaches how to offer these practices effectively, helping clients make small, sustainable changes through rituals and consistent habits. With practical tools like activity logs and apps, you'll be equipped to guide clients toward lasting, positive shifts while maintaining ongoing support.

I'm an early-career therapist. Is this too advanced for me?

This course is designed for therapists at every stage of their career. Most therapists say they wish they'd had these skills earlier.

Will this approach work with my existing therapeutic modality?

Yes. The integration framework is designed to complement your existing approach, not replace it. Whether you practice CBT, psychodynamic therapy, EMDR, IFS, DBT, or another modality, these techniques strengthen your ability to help clients regulate and integrate their experiences.

How much time will I need to implement what I learn?

The holistic interventions in this course are designed to be incorporated gradually into your practice. The early modules lay the foundation, and the final modules focus on specific skills that clinicians are encouraged, and supported, to put into practice the very next day.

Can I earn CE credits for this course?

Yes. This training is approved for up to 10 CE hours, including 2 Ethics CE credits, for LCSW, LAC, LCPC, LMFT, LMSW, LBSW, and CBHPSS professionals, in partnership with the NASW Montana Chapter. To receive CE credits, you must enroll through the NASW Institute website.
